A.B. Levy’s will present a selection of watches, furniture, and sculpture in the upcoming Time Pieces, Jewelry, Art, and Antiques auction. Among the highlighted lots is a Meiji Period elephant figure made of patinated bronze. This sculpture, created in the late 19th century, depicts a standing elephant being attacked by tigers. The animal’s head is thrown back as the tigers cling to its sides and front leg. Another leading lot is a wheel-carved cameo glass vase by Daum, a crystal studio based in Nancy, France. A pale green dragonfly adorns the side of this blue, brown, and green vase, which measures 12 inches high.
Of interest to jewelry and watch collectors is a Patek Philippe perpetual calendar wristwatch from 2000. This watch shows moon phases along with the date. It includes a platinum Patek Philippe buckle. Available works of fine art include a micromosaic work from the 19th century, showing a view of Rome’s Palazzo dei Conservatori under mid-day shadows. A Charles Stuart fruit still-life painting will be offered as well. Browse the full catalog for this auction and register to bid on Invaluable.
