Estate Jewelry, Fine Art, and Antiques

Featured in the Estate Jewelry, Fine Art, and Antiques auction, presented by A. B. Levy's, is an automatic tourbillon wristwatch from Audemars Piguet. The folding clasp, buckle, and other features of the watch are made of 18-karat pink gold. It was produced in 2007 to celebrate the 150th birthday of the Swiss company's cofounder, Jules Audemars. Edward Piguet and Audemars were childhood friends but drifted apart in their teen years, both going on to become watchmakers for different manufacturers. The two later reconnected and worked together to found Audemars Piguet & Cie, now Audemars Piguet, in 1881. Interested fine art collectors can consider the painting La Romanza Preferita by Vittorio Reggianini. This painting is an example of the 19th-century artist's interest in the upper-class lifestyle. Reggianini was a member of the Costume Painters, an artistic movement centered around restoring sophistication and luxury lost to modern work. Rounding out the featured lots are several decorative pieces, including a Viennese rock crystal ewer and a pagoda-shaped liquor box from France.
