DENVER, Pa. – A circa 1905-1910 Caille Brothers Mfg "Centaur" triple slot machine with rare harp castings soared to $227,500, and a circa 1900-1905 Mills "20th Century" upright slot machine in the scarce one-dollar denomination rang up $92,250 at Morphy's Coin-Op & Advertising auction held May 21-23, 2026 in Las Vegas. More than 1,700 lots of top-quality items were sold.

The strong auction results served to reinforce Morphy's status as the premier auction house for antique coin-op machines and antique advertising, not just in Las Vegas but nationwide. Overall, the sale totaled in excess of $3 million.

The top lot in this sale was #9, Michael Jackson's (American, 1958 –2009) stage worn black sequined jacket. Estimated at $15,000-20,000, it sold for $61,000 and generated 22 bids. This coat was made by Jackson's costume designer Bill Whitten (American, 1944-2006) and was worn onstage by the artist while performing "Billie Jean" and "Shake Your Body" as part of his 1987 BAD World tour. It was detailed with an open front, long sleeves, and a red and gold embroidered chest patch featuring the letter "J" with a crown. The 723-lot selection included US uniforms, helmets and headgear; medals, flags, insignia and photos, as well as hundreds of British, German, Japanese and other World War II relics and articles of memorabilia. A multitude of edged weapons kept specialty collectors busy as they bid on fine swords, knives, katanas and daggers. PENNSBURG, Pa. – A circa 1825-1835 Columbia / Eagle flask by Kensington Union Glass Works (Philadelphia, Pa.), the very rare shorter 12-ounce mould with the single smooth wide vertical rib, sold for a staggering $177,840 in Glass Works Auctions' online-only Premier Auction #192 held May 4th. It was a new record auction price for an American flask or bottle. 

The auction featured choice selections from the collection of Richard Watson, one of the best-known collectors of bottles and flasks in the country. He started collecting in the late 1950s and continued until his death in 2014 at age 82. The late Charles Gardner was his mentor. Watson published two books on bitters bottles, in 1965 and 1968. His wife Elma did the line drawings.

This framed, oil and marker on canvas work is primarily rendered in grey, green, red, black, and brown and has an image size of 54 x 36". It is signed by the artist with the initials "HB" on its lower center and has several identifying paper labels on its reverse.
