Inca Redware Vessel Camelid Form
Pre-Columbian, Northern Peru, Inca Empire, ca. 1200 to 1500 CE. A remarkable bi-chrome pottery vessel in the form of an alpaca or llama head with a long snout, a high nasal bridge, recessed nostrils, an incised mouth, round bulbous eyes, and petite pointed ears flanking a circular opening with a flared rim. Boasting a lustrous burnish, the adorable visage is beautifully coated in russet-hued glaze and embellished with burnt umber eyes and a triangular stripe on either side of its snout. As camelids were the only burden bearing animals in South America, aside from humans, this vessel was likely created to demonstrate the importance of these animals to the Inca. Mid-17th C. Central European Steel Winged Zischagge
Central/Eastern Europe, Germany or Poland, ca. mid-17th century CE. A stunning forged-steel pot helmet used by the legendary winged hussars known as a zischagge (‘szyszak’ in Polish). The hemispherical dome is topped with a petite spike and has a spade-shaped brim riveted to the front with an adjustable nose guard centered against the backside. A pair of inverted triangular ear flaps are suspended from the interior lateral peripheries and have dozens of petite perforations and several thick rivets, and an articulating lobster tail drapes from the verso. The signature characteristic of this helmet are the two intimidating ‘wings’ attached above the ear flaps that have a scalloped design adorned with dozens of ovoid and heart-shaped punch-outs and mimic the winged Valkyrie of old Norse mythology. A fantastic example of the zischagge that is ready to complement any discerning collection! Size: 11.125″ W x 17.7″ H (28.3 cm x 45 cm); 22.875″ H (58.1 cm) on included custom stand.
Tom Cruise “MAVERICK” Helmet From TOP GUN With DVD
One of several production-made fighter pilot helmets created for use in filming by Tom Cruise as Pete “Maverick” Mitchell in Tony Scott’s film Top Gun (Paramount, 1986). Cruise is seen wearing this style of helmet in scenes throughout the film. The helmet, made by Flight Suits, LTD, was customized by the production with eagle insignia stickers and red and white striping with the letters “MAVERICK” across the front. It is believed that these decals were replaced regularly during production. Inside the helmet, hidden under padding and partially obscured by Velcro, is production writing: “MAVERICK #2 // TOPGUN // 44430.” An important and rare production artifact from one of the most popular action films of the 1980s; the sequel, Top Gun: Maverick, is due out from Paramount Pictures in 2021. Accompanied by a copy of the film. NOTE: missing knob that controls up and down movement of visor

Ancient Greek Gold Necklace w/ Stoetzer Report
Ancient Greece, ca. 2nd century BCE to 2nd century CE. A breathtaking 82.6 to 85.1% gold (equivalent to ~20K) necklace comprised of a finely woven gold chain from which 7 winged figural pendants (perhaps representing Nike given that one holds a flaming torch) of nearly identical form (save hand gestures and attributes – see extended description below) and 6 elongated, fluted, piriform pendants (perhaps representing seeds or urns) with floral pendants above are suspended from a loop in lop construction chain that is further adorned by 7 equidistantly placed rosette appliques. Beyond impressive for the repousse work, chasing, and stamping of the pendants and appliques as well as the exquisite chain, this piece is truly a work of art! Precious metal: 82.6-85.1% gold (equivalent to ~ 20K) and 14-15.7% silver. Size: chain measures 12.625″ L x .375″ W (32.1 cm x 1 cm); largest pendants (winged + floral above) measure 2.125″ L x .875″ W (5.4 cm x 2.2 cm); weight: 62.7 grams
As mentioned above, the winged figural pendants are nearly identical. All are cloaked in lavish drapery folds, present lovely visages with delicate features and combed back coiffures as well as grand wings delineated via repousse. However, they differentiate themselves with distinct hand gestures and attributes. From left to right the respective figures display: right hand to chest; left hand holding a scepter; right hand holding a small offering; both hands holding a bowl or shell; left hand holding an offering; both hands holding what appears to be a flaming torch representing victory (consistent with Nike attributes) across the chest; and finally, both hands pressed together as if expressing gratitude or prayer. Certainly a mesmerizing ensemble of figural pendants sure to delight many an admirer!
Accompanied by Stoetzer examination report #112712.1 (signed and dated November 26, 2012) that confirms the authenticity of this piece.

Thomas Buttersworth (British, 1768–1842) “The Gale of Plymouth” Oil on Canvas. Features a rendering of a large ship sailing through rough seas with smaller boats seen off in the distance. Signed lower right and dated on the back “Thomas Buttersworth “The Gale of Plymouth” November 23 1824″
Thomas Buttersworth (British, 1768–1842) was born on the Isle of Wight, and joined the Royal Navy in London in 1780. He began his painting career while at sea, and the accuracy of many of his late 18th-century Mediterranean subjects, and his paintings of the Battle of St. Vincent and the Blockade of Cadiz, would indicate that they were painted on location. On his return to England, he established himself as a painter of marine scenes, executing ship portraits of larger naval and merchant vessels and important naval engagements. These included his famous Battle of Trafalgar, which was exhibited at the British Institution in 1825, and is now a part of the National Maritime Museum collection in Greenwich. He exhibited only one painting each at the Royal Academy, the British Institution, and Suffolk Street, but he was a prolific artist whose works were and still are very popular with collectors.
