New York City Estate Auction

Jeweler Norman Le Beau initially wanted to pursue a career in painting. Instead, he chose to pursue jewelry due to his financial condition. In 1954, he established Le Beau Jewelers in New York and the Boris Le Beau boutique in Palm Beach. The upcoming New York City Estate Auction, offered by Showplace Antique + Design Center, presents a set of Boris Le Beau yellow gold and platinum graphic earrings. Also showcased are jewelry pieces from Marco Bicergo and Milor.

Artworks from Pop artist Donald Baechler also highlighted in the auction. Baechler’s paintings, based on his childhood nostalgia, often included images of maps, balls, and roses. Baeschler’s Untitled (Flowers), available in this auction, depicts stylized flowers in silhouette. An available Hermès scarf designed by Phillippe Ledoux shows a series of equestrian sketches. A pale blue border edges the scarf. Furniture items such as a Hans Wegner-style Papa Bear chair and a set of Maitland-Smith modern stone nesting tables will be offered as well, along with glassware and Chinese cloisonne sculptures.
