Dalí’s Lithographs Will Lead New York City Estate Auction

Salvador Dalí’s lithographs depicting the 12 zodiac signs are among the highlights of Showplace Antique’s upcoming New York City Estate Auction. Created in 1967, these lithographs depict the 12 signs, from Aries to Pisces, in a vibrant palette. This work illustrates the astrological symbols in its details, a departure from Dalí’s usual Surrealist dreamscapes. Among the 12 paintings, the viewer can observe the Capricorn sign represented as a horned goat with a mermaid’s tail, surrounded by water and earthly tones.

Art collectors will also find Burton Morris’ acrylic on wood painting. Morris is a Pop artist whose modern style is primarily inspired by everyday experiences. He focuses on objects that illustrate today’s pop culture.
