Huge Fossilized Dinocrocuta Skull, Bone Crushing Hyena:
Central Asia, Eastern Kazakhstan, Miocene Period, ca. 10 Million years ago. A rare fossilized skull from Dinocrocuta, a prehistoric animal with massive jaws and teeth so powerful, it could crush bones. The bone has fossilized with a white and beige hue and the teeth are well preserved with the large canines fully displayed. These animals were carnivores that were distant relatives of modern-day hyenas, but much larger and likely capable of taking down prey such as rhinos. This is a remarkable specimen from a mighty prehistoric predator. Size: 18″ L x 9″ W (45.7 cm x 22.9 cm); 15″ H (38.1 cm) on included custom stand.

Carved Sculpture Colombian Emerald Matrix – Bear:
This is a highly aesthetic and unique display specimen. Emeralds (chrome-green beryl) of this size and quality are very rarely found in the famous emerald mines of Colombia, and even more rarely do they survive to market as specimens rather than as cutting material. These crystals, with radiant, intense color, are not gemmy. They are however translucent and brilliantly sparkling. They would make great cabochon material for the jewelry trade. Most such pieces like this would have been cut.
Provenance: this specimen is from Boyaca mines in Colombia including Muzo, Chivor, Penas Blancas and Coscuez. Size: Small cabinet. It was saved as part of a quality collection in Bogotá, Colombia.
Weight and Dimensions: Weight: 7.1 OZ. Approx. dimensions: 2.75″ H.
