The necklace features 128 natural octagonal step-cut emeralds with good cut grade and a total weight of 73.32 carats. The emeralds are bordered with rectangular links decorated with 1,572 natural round, brilliant-cut diamonds with clarity of SI1 to SI3. The necklace features a polished, stamped, and tested 14-karat yellow gold construction on the clasp. Another featured lot by Oscar Friedman is an 83.99-carat fancy black and white diamond necklace. The necklace features a polished, stamped, and tested 14-karat white gold construction marked on the clasp. The necklace features 41 graduated fancy black diamonds measuring 75.49 carats. The black diamonds are decorated with halo rings made of 818 round, brilliant-cut white diamonds. Both necklaces are GIA and AIGL-certified.
Another featured lot is a 12.30-carat sapphire and diamond ring. The ring features a center stone of natural cushion-shaped, brilliant-cut crown step-crown sapphire with deep blue color and a total weight of 12.30 carats. Austin Auction Gallery’s upcoming four-day sale features an array of artworks, furniture, decorative art, jewelry, Asian antiques, and more. Leading the auction is a patinated bronze sculpture titled Maternidad en Cuclillas by Francisco Zúñiga (1912 – 1998), a Costa Rican-born Mexican artist. Zúñiga was known for his figurative paintings and sculptures. The available lot has an incised signature and is numbered ‘V / VI’ on the base. Zúñiga’s parents were sculptors. He took inspiration from German Expressionists and renowned sculptor Auguste Rodin for his early artistic renditions. Another notable lot is a mid-century modern bronze dining table designed by French artist Michel Mangematin (1928 – 2012). The table has a circular colorless glass top and a sculptural bronze base comprising three intersecting curves.

The upcoming Black Americana, Collectibles, Décor, Silverware sale from SJ Auctioneers will highlight a variety of rare sterling silverware, crystal collectibles, and more. Among the top lots is a six-piece tea and coffee set from Tiffany & Co. Dating back to 1912, this Art Deco style set is modeled in the Hampton pattern and includes a kettle, coffee pot, teapot, creamer, sugar bowl, and waste bowl. The style is named for Hampton Court, which was King Henry VIII’s country palace. Notable among art glass items are several glass pieces from Daum, the classic studio based in Nancy, France. An American showman known for his Wild West shows and collaboration with “Buffalo” Bill Cody, Pawnee Bill (also known as Gordon William Lillie) started his career as an interpreter for Buffalo Bill’s show. He was later involved in the white settlement of Native American lands in present-day Oklahoma and was known for his traveling performers. The available lithograph depicts a cowboy and Native American riding beside a buffalo, shooting it.

Dzubas (1915 – 1994), a German-American Abstract Expressionist painter, is renowned for his large-scale, vibrant paintings. He drew inspiration from nature, Greek mythology, Christianity, and travel for his compositions. Another notable lot is an oil on canvas titled Woman with Green Parasol by American artist Anna Catherine Wiley (1879 – 1958). A 2023 Dodge Challenger Shakedown Widebody is crossing the auction block this July in the Florida Summer Special 2024 Sale from Mecum Auctions. It is just one of 500 ever produced. It is the first of the last call editions. It has a 6.4L V-8 engine with a six-speed manual transmission and Mopar cold air Shaker hood. The exterior is sleek black with a red “392” fender graphic and a shakedown stripe with a red accent. It has only run 16 miles. Another Dodge Challenger is also among the featured lots. It is a 2020 TorRed Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody Hennessey HPE1000. The engine is 6.2L/1000 HP V-8 with automatic transmission, rated at 1,000 HP and 948 lb-ft of torque. Features include a power sunroof and Harman Kardon 18-speaker premium audio system with GreenEdge amplifier and subwoofer.
Another notable lot in the sale is a 1999 Honda Valkyrie Tourer with a sidecar. It has a liquid-cooled 1520cc boxer with a six-cylinder engine similar to the Goldwing SE. It has a five-speed manual transmission, Keihin carburetors, and a five-speed manual gearbox with an electric start. The exterior is a shiny copper champion with matching fenders and side bags. This upcoming two-day sale from Copley Fine Art Auctions will feature a wide variety of fine 19th- and 20th-century American wildlife paintings, etchings, carved decoys, folk art, and more. Leading the first day of the sale is an etching by Carl Rungius titled White Flag. The offered work was executed in 1928 and depicts a woodland stag. It is pencil-signed by Carl Rungius on the lower right. A wildlife artist known for his lifelike paintings, illustrations, and engravings of game animals, Rungius led the way in shaping modern-day animal conservation practices. His paintings depicted animals in their natural environment, a technique that was new to North American art. Another notable fine artwork in the catalog is an acrylic on Masonite painting by Bob Kuhn titled Giraffes. The works of Kuhn are renowned for their vivid portrayals of wildlife and detailed depictions of the surrounding landscape. To create images that engage the senses, the artist experiments with paint, drawing, color, composition, and lighting. Kuhn’s depictions remain an important benchmark for wildlife art. Hopi kachina dolls, also known as katsina figures, are carved from cottonwood root by the people of the Hopi Tribe of Arizona. Native Americans in the Southwest traditionally believe that with the advent of the winter season, spirit beings called kachinas descend on Earth. They are said to carry messages from the spirit world. During the katsina ceremony, these figures are bestowed upon the daughters of the community. After the ceremony, these dolls are displayed on the walls. The upcoming sale, offered by Brunk Auctions, will feature a Crow Mother kachina or Angwusnasomtaqa (circa 1930s – 40s). Carved in polychrome cottonwood, she is regarded as the mother of all kachinas and leads the initiation rites for children.
Another lot of interest is an Amos Wheaton goldeneye drake decoy (circa 1920). It has a prominent head shape and a pronounced paddle tail. The thee-piece hollow body has a separation between the neck and back crest of the head. A morganite from the collection of Peter L. Via also leads the catalog. The specimen is semi-translucent pink in color with black schorl inclusions. It was mined from Mina Urubu NR Teofilo Otoni, Brazil.
