Published on

Diane Keaton (American, 1926-2025) was a beloved, award winning cultural icon best known for her stage, film, and TV work which ranged from quirky to heartfelt to transformational. She was also famous for her unique personal style, which favored menswear, layered silhouettes, headwear, big belts, and chunky accessories. On June 9, 2026, Bonhams in New York held one of their four Diane Keaton sales – their 241 lot Diane Keaton Tailored & Timeless online sale, which included signature clothing and accessories from the late performer’s estate. Here are some red carpet results from that very stylish sale. All prices noted include Bonhams’ buyer’s fees.

Keaton's Rolex brand stainless steel, solid-link 'Oyster' manual wind bracelet watch
Lot #2010, Keaton’s Rolex brand stainless steel, solid-link ‘Oyster’ manual wind bracelet watch, was estimated at $2,000-$3,000 and sold for $20,480

The top lot in this late spring event was #2010, Keaton’s Rolex brand stainless steel, solid-link ‘Oyster’ manual wind bracelet watch. Estimated at $2,000-$3,000, it delivered $20,480. The 34mm timepiece was detailed with a silver dial, baton hour markers, and Rolex’s traditional three-piece flat link design bracelet. The face was marked Rolex, Oyster, and Precision.

Rolex introduced its Oyster model in 1926 as the world’s first world’s first hermetically waterproof and dustproof wristwatch. It remains an iconic, timeless, and classic watch design a century onward.

Keaton's custom Nick Fouquet black felt wide heavy curl brim hat
Lot #2050, Keaton’s custom Nick Fouquet black felt wide heavy curl brim hat, was estimated at $400-600 and sold for $20,480.

Hats were a signature accessory for Keaton, and this event featured about two dozen examples from her personal headwear collection. Lot #2050, a custom Nick Fouquet black felt wide heavy curl brim hat, was estimated at $400-600 and sold for $20,480. The hat was not sized but had an interior measurement of 8 x 6-1/2″. It was decorated with a black ribbon as a hatband. According to Bonhams, this hat was worn by Keaton on numerous occasions, and was also featured on Keaton’s Instagram feed on July 7, 2020 in a video where she demonstrated how hats can be used to enhance your best features.

Artisan hatmaker Nick Fouquet (French American, b. 1983) is best known for his one of a kind, hand rendered, and bohemian-chic beaver-felt fedoras. He has a huge celebrity following, with icons, actors, and models – including Pharrell Williams,  Johnny Depp, and Gigi Hadid – donning his wares for both personal use and professional appearances.

Keaton's Prada maroon leather button-down collared jacket
Lot #2139, Keaton’s Prada maroon leather button-down collared jacket, was estimated at $400-600 and sold for $16,640.

Timeless, well-tailored outwear was another key category in this red carpet event. Lot #2139, a Prada maroon leather button-down collared jacket, was estimated at $400-600 and traded hands at $16,640. This double breasted example was marked as size 42 and had two side pocket. According to Bonhams, Keaton wore this jacket to a Taschen book launch party at Cross Roads of the World in Los Angeles on November 19, 2009 and also out and about in Los Angeles on March 5, 2019.

The German art book publisher Taschen is headquartered in Cologne and is known for its extraordinarily produced, top tier, and visually stunning tomes. Its launch parties often include live musical and artistic performances, world class displays, and internationally recognized A list celebrities and VIPs. It is no surprise that Keaton, given her worldwide status and love of art, would attend one of these over the top events wearing a premier item like this Prada jacket.

Keaton's Bottega Veneta black leather woven tote bag
Lot #2047, Keaton’s Bottega Veneta black leather woven tote bag, was estimated at $200-300 and sold for $8,960.

Bottega Veneta, based in Milan, Italy, produces fine leather goods, premier fashion, shoes, and perfumes. The company does not believe in overt branding, preferring that its quality, craftmanship, and aesthetic “speak for themselves” amongst their elite customers. Their signature intrecciato leather-weaving technique – seen on this Keaton lot and based on a meticulous diagonal weave – gives their products a uniquely supple texture as well as luxurious look and feel.
