Elsa Peretti Bone Cuff Bracelet

Among the leading Tiffany & Co. jewelry lots of this sale is an Elsa Peretti Bone cuff bracelet in 18-karat rose gold (lot #36; estimate: USD 26,000 – $65,000). This pre-owned piece was designed for the right hand.  Introduced in the 1970s, the Bone cuff bracelet is inspired by the natural curves of the wrist and has been interpreted as a symbol of female strength and independence.

Peretti was first known as a fashion model, and she began designing new jewelry styles in 1969. She started working with Tiffany formally in 1974 and created innovative designs inspired by the rising tide of modern art. Describing her iconic Bone cuff design, Peretti said, “I have always been interested in the mechanics and its feel: every jewelry piece should be captivating and comfortable to wear.”

Tiffany & Co. Enchant Scroll Ring

Another notable Tiffany & Co. jewelry lot available in this upcoming auction is an Enchant scroll ring (lot #254; estimate: $14,500 – $36,250). This ring features diamonds and rubies set in platinum. Symmetrical swirls of jewels wrap around the piece. Tiffany’s Enchant collection was inspired by the natural patterns wrought on 18th- and 19th-century garden gates. The open setting of the company’s Enchant designs recalls these gates, hinting at what lies beyond.

Paper Flower No. 9 Ring

Available from Tiffany’s Paper Flower collection is a No. 9 ring set in 18-karat rose gold (lot $89; estimate: $3,200 – $8,000). This thin, delicate ring bears a minimalist flower design; diamonds cover two of the three flower petals. Tiffany & Co. describes the Paper Flowers collection as its “modern take on flower jewelry.” Introduced in 2018 by the company’s former chief artistic officer, Reed Krakoff, the Paper Flowers series was inspired by the image of cut paper flower petals pinned together. Krakoff designed each item in the collection to be suitable for everyday life in addition to formal occasions.

Paloma Picasso Earrings

A pair of 18-karat yellow gold earrings designed by Paloma Picasso are also on offer in this sale of Tiffany & Co. jewelry (lot #190; estimate: $2,800 – $7,000). These sleek earrings resemble twisted ribbons and bear the designer’s name on their backs. The daughter of famed Cubist artist Pablo Picasso and French painter Françoise Gilot, Paloma Picasso joined Tiffany & Co. as a jewelry designer in 1980. She created numerous iconic designs for the company during her tenure, including the Paloma’s Graffiti series, featuring handwritten words crafted in precious metals.

Bidders can also consider a Paloma Picasso Aries necklace (lot #50; estimate: $1,800 – $4,500), a pair of Picasso’s Loving Heart earrings (lot #362; estimate: $2,000 – $5,000), and more.
