Robert Wyland’s Sea Life Works and Pino Daeni’s Oil Painting Come to Auction

The upcoming Fall Modern & Contemporary Art sale, presented by Robinhood Auctions, will showcase a selection of fine art. One highlighted lot is Robert Wyland’s original sea life work titled Swimmers. It portrays two sea turtles diving deep into the ocean. The available lot is hand-signed by the artist and includes a certificate of authenticity. American artist and conservationist Wyland is renowned for his paintings and sculptures of underwater sea life. Other artworks by Wyland, featuring an octopus, whales, dolphins, and related themes, will also go under the hammer. 

The sale offers more than 900 pieces of fine art. One noteworthy lot is an oil painting by Pino Daeni, an Italian-American book illustrator and artist. Titled Melissa, this piece comes custom framed. Daeni, born Giuseppe Dangelico, is known for his portrayal of feminine, romantic women. One of the highest-paid book illustrators of his time, Daeni produced over 3,000 book covers, movie posters, and magazine illustrations during his career. Also available are artworks by Salvador Dalí, Pablo Picasso, Alexander Calder, Charles Fazzino, and more.
