Nadeau’s auction Contemporary, Custom, Couture and Decorative accessories. includes furniture, fine art, pottery, silverware, clothing and a variety of clocks and watches. Among items of the collection are several pieces of teak outdoor furniture, including an eight-piece set with round dining table and one leaf, six folding armchairs, and a large rectangular umbrella. Teak’s natural oils make it useful in exposed locations, and is both termite and pest resistant. Also featured in this auction are a few works of fine art, including a pair of Kiyoshi Saito (1907-1997) wood block prints: one a village scene persimmon tree, and the other a temple with persimmon tree. Saito was one of the earliest Japanese printmaking artists to win at the São Paulo Biennale in 1951.
This collection originates primarily from several estates. Some of the more unusual items are a collection of fine suits and ties as well as a group of fabric, gold leaf, and tapestry. There are even two lots that include a vacuum cleaner. See all available items and register to bid on Bidsquare.
