It particularly features an oil painting by Henry Faulker, a prolific American artist recognized for his colorful paintings and odd habits. His practice of bringing a bourbon-drinking goat to parties and shows contributed to his eccentric image. Titled Village Scene, this piece shows Faulkner’s native Kentucky.
Another lot available at the auction is a set of three gilt wine coolers. Dating back to the 1830s, each piece features fine foliate, lily decoration, and ducal crest engravings.
