Louis Comfort Tiffany was the founder and creator of Tiffany Lamps. He was also, of course, the son of Charles Lewis Tiffany; the founder of the world-famous jewelry retailer, Tiffany & Co. The intricately–designed Tiffany lamps usually came with a bronze base topped with a stained glass shade. Louis Tiffany intended to pay homage to the beauty of nature and thus designed the lamps resembling trees, with the detailed bronze bases, stands and shades representing the roots, trunk, and canopy.
