French Empire mantel clock featuring a rouge marble casing with gilt bronze applications including six depicting the crests of various Dutch provinces. Piece is embellished with gilt bronze trimmings along its upper platform and around its foot. Clock face and door in verso each has a gilt bronze crest design. Movement is marked “SUSSE FRES A PARIS”. Includes pendulum and bell; no key.
