NEW YORK, NY.- Ramsay Fairs announced the opening of VOLTA Miami this December during Miami Art Week. Completing an unrivaled trio of art fairs across the globe in Basel, New York City and Miami, VOLTA will cultivate an environment of discovery for the engaged collector, refocusing on the most important feature: the artists and their work.

Ramsay Fairs acquired the VOLTA brand in 2019 and recognized the brand’s opportunity to expand. “VOLTA has been a key fair during Basel and New York City art weeks; Miami is the perfect location for international expansion to meet the demand from U.S. and South American collectors. Having staged PULSE fair in Miami for 15 years, we feel this is the right time to transition all of our knowledge and history in Miami to VOLTA’s evolution,” stated Ramsay Fairs Founder, Will Ramsay.

Led by VOLTA Fair Director, Kamiar Maleki, Ramsay Fairs will debut VOLTA Miami at Mana Wynwood, the heart of Miami’s burgeoning art district and just steps away from NADA, the Wynwood Walls and Art Miami.

“We are very excited for this expansion! We will draw upon PULSE’S robust exhibitor and collector base and match that with VOLTA’s international foundation and energy to make a fantastic impact on the Miami scene,” said Maleki. “PULSE had a phenomenal run in Miami, and we are confident that VOLTA Miami will take this legacy forward to an incredibly bright future.”

“This global pandemic has turned the art world upside down, but with change comes opportunity. We reflected on each brand’s strengths and contribution to the art market and we’re looking forward to embracing the opportunity to expand the VOLTA fairs with open arms,” said Cristina Salmastrelli, U.S. Regional Managing Director of Ramsay Fairs. “In bringing VOLTA to Miami, we will continue to carry on PULSE’s vibrant spirit and promote a welcoming environment for exhibitors and collectors alike. PULSE’s last edition celebrated 15 years of fairs with almost 15,000 visitors and set the mark when it comes to what patrons expect from a quality boutique art fairs.”

VOLTA will stay true to its roots as a contemporary art fair while refining the fair’s environment to focus on compelling visual statements by up-and-coming and established artists. The global fair aims to create a nurturing environment, allowing galleries and artists to feel confident and energized when exhibiting their work, while providing conceptually engaging solo and group presentations which are accessible to visitors.
