Kodner Galleries Presents Sparkling Diamond Jewelry and Assorted Fine Art in Summer Sale
In the latest Estate Jewelry, Art & Collectibles auction from Kodner Galleries, nearly 300 quality lots will come under the hammer. The event will begin at 6:00 PM EDT on July 19, 2023. Leading the catalog is a selection of diamond and platinum jewelry, including rings, bracelets, and ear studs. Bidders can also consider sculptural works, fine art, collectible spirits, and more.
Among the top lots of this event is an EGL-certified 11.03-carat diamond and 18-karat white gold ring (lot #58; estimate: USD 160,000 – $180,000). The center features an oval brilliant-cut diamond and is accented by two pear-shaped diamonds with a combined weight of approximately 1.70 carats. Another notable jewelry lot is a pair of diamond ear studs graded by the GIA (lot #54; estimate: $150,000 – $180,000). Each stone weighs approximately 5.0 carats and is set in 14-karat white gold. Two GIA reports accompany the lot—one for each ear stud.
A 10.02-carat fancy light yellow diamond ring will be offered as well (lot #53). The cushion-cut center stone, which has SI1 clarity, is accented with round brilliant and trapezoidal diamonds. It comes to auction with an estimate of $100,000 to $150,000. Additional jewelry items of interest in the catalog range from a sapphire, diamond, and platinum ring (lot #48; estimate: $30,000 – $40,000) to a South Sea pearl necklace (lot $46; estimate: $6,000 – $8,000).
An oil on panel painting by Spanish painter Luis Franco Salinas will be presented in this Kodner Galleries sale (lot #27). Titled Piano Lesson, the work has been signed by the artist in the top right corner and tagged on the ornate frame. This work is expected to sell for between $5,000 and $7,000. A native of Valencia, Salinas gained fame and fortune by primarily creating genre paintings. He specialized in coats and military subjects. Later in life, Salinas turned almost exclusively to portraiture and commissions. The available painting shows two young women at a piano. With the exception of one lady’s white dress, the work is dominated by rich, dark shades of brown and black.
Other lots of interest in this event include:

- A bottle of 30-year-old Macallan whisky (lot #223; estimate: $4,000 – $5,000)
