Turner Auctions’ August sale of Russian porcelain, Nailsea glass, and jewelry will feature a collection of sterling flatware with several maker’s marks, including George Gilliam, Phillip Weekes, and Green & Cadbury. The 88-piece, shell-patterned collection has 13 serving pieces and dozens of spoons, forks, and knives.
The fine arts category includes works from artists such as Pablo Picasso and Marc Chagall. The auction also highlights pieces from contemporary makers, including Vietnamese artist Hoi Lebadang. According to Lebadang, his works are often a marriage between mediums, from painting and sculpture to installation art and architecture. After achieving success, the artist helped rebuild schools and hospitals in his home village. Lebadang’s color etching of a horse published by Circle Gallery is available in the upcoming auction.
A Tiffany & Co. ring with a Lucida-cut diamond in the center is available among the jewelry lots. The central diamond weighs 0.73 carats and has VS1 clarity. The ring comes with a Tiffany Gemological Registration Report. Interested bidders can view the full catalog at Bidsquare.
