SJ Auctioneers’ January Sale Features Luxury Jewelry, Georg Jensen Silver, and More

SJ Auctioneers will present its Winter Watch of Wanted Collectibles sale in mid-January, offering nearly 200 lots of fine jewelry, silver, decorative art, and accessories. Among the top lots is a Buccellati signed 18-karat gold Macri ring. The Macri collection is one of the Italian jewelry brand’s best-known styles with its delicate engraving and brilliant-cut diamonds set in star-shaped rosettes. The available ring features white gold stations surrounding each diamond, as well as Italian assay marks stamped on the inner band. Another notable lot in the catalog is a set of six sterling silver coasters from Georg Jensen. These hand-crafted dishes feature the 41a pattern. While each coaster includes the grape-and-leaves pattern on the top, they are variously hallmarked on their bottoms. 

Steuben glass collectors can consider an Aurene gold vase measuring just over eight inches tall. In the early 1900s, Steuben glassmaker Frederick Carder sprayed stannous chloride on glass to create a new, iridescent style that he called ‘Aurene.’ The resulting works display a muted, multicolored shine. A selection of toy and model cars are also on offer in this sale, including a Marx tin Super Streamline Racer #12 wind-up race car from the 1950s. This uncommon example also includes a small yellow driver, who is often missing from the toy. Assorted Herend porcelain figurines, Hermès silk scarves, and Swarovski crystal figurines are on offer.
