Rubel Frères Bracelet & 13.49-Carat Radiant-Cut Diamond Ring Lead Intervendue’s Jewelry AuctionSep 08, 2022 14:00 EDT
A 13.49-carat radiant-cut diamond leads the upcoming Jewelry Is Our Job XXXVII auction, presented by Intervendue. This mega-sized diamond is GIA certified and set in a platinum ring that weighs a total of 10.9 grams. The diamond has F color and I1 clarity. The ring has another 20 diamonds set in the mounting. They together weigh around 1.10 carats, have E-F color, and have VVS-VS clarity. Demand for a radiant-cut diamond is on the rise. Its unique shape makes it appear bigger than a round or an oval-cut diamond.
An emerald and diamond French Art Deco bracelet with 58.00 carats of diamonds is another leading lot. It is a Rubel Frères bracelet. The jewelry house was responsible for creating many beautiful and iconic jewels of the 20th century, predominantly for Van Cleef & Arpels. It was awarded a Grand Prix in the 1925 Exposition Internationale des arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes. It was also commissioned to create several brooches and a watch by the Maharaja of Indore. The diamonds in the available bracelet have E – F color and VVS – VS clarity. The central emeralds weigh a total of 12.00 carats. All the gems come AGL certified. The auction also offers several notable watches from Rolex and Cartier.
