A 1945 Rolex Chronograph Oyster leads the upcoming Fine Jewelry & Luxury Handbags auction, offered by Doyle. In 1945, Rolex introduced its Datejust watch, the first self‑winding wrist chronometer to indicate the date in a window on the dial. The available vintage Chronograph Oyster remains one of the last few pieces without automatic features. This 36mm wristwatch (ref. 4537) is made in gold and is mechanical with a circular refinished white dial. The watch has triangular batons numerals, and three subsidiary dials of minutes, hours, and seconds with a round push-button Chrono. The outer chapter ring has a tachymeter scale, an inner telemeter scale, and a screw-down Rolex Oyster cross crown.
Among luxury handbags, a two-tone woven clutch in 18-karat yellow and rose gold is a noteworthy lot. The opening trim of the clutch features a marquise-shaped emerald, 16 round emeralds, and 120 single-cut diamonds (together weighing approximately 2.95 carats.), set in gold and platinum. The interior has mirrors, framed and loose. The auction also highlights a two-color gold and diamond ring in 14-karat yellow and white gold. The round diamond of the ring weighs 2.02 carats and comes with a GIA report stating I color and SI1 clarity. The auction also features Hermès and Fendi handbags.
