Porcelain Figurines From Herend, Buccellati Silver Dish Come to Sale With SJ Auctioneers

Hungary-based porcelain company Herend has been producing fine art porcelain since 1826. Herend manufactures fine porcelain home decor and dinnerware with handcrafted and beautifully painted designs. A set of three porcelain figures of the Hungarian actress Madame Deryne will be available in SJ Auctioneers’ upcoming sale. The figures are mounted on square pedestals with slight forward tilts. This set features Deryne strumming a guitar and wearing a full-length ruffled bow dress in blue, pink, and light green with elaborate details. The figures measure about 8.5 inches high and six inches wide. A bronze sculpture from Loet Vanderveen is equally noteworthy. With a variety of subtle patinas, Vanderveen’s sculpture designs offer distinctive expressions.  

The sale also includes a Buccellati silver dish. This collection is inspired by the generating power of nature. The Italian Silversmiths at Buccellati are known for their skill to shape and form new designs that reflect the beauty of nature. The offered piece is crafted in sterling silver and numbered 925/1000. Also available is a Mickey Mouse Bradley luminous alarm clock by Walt Disney. Mickey appears in the dial’s center with his arms serving as hands for the hour and minute. Additional lots of interest include a Bulgari Tubogas yellow, rose, and white gold choker necklace, a signed chess set by Swarovski, and a pair of French champagne flutes with a Daum signature.
