Pino Daeni’s Windy Day and Robert Wyland Limited Edition Paintings Lead Robinhood Auctions’ Contemporary Art Sale

Pino Daeni was an acclaimed Italian-American book illustrator and artist known for his romantic illustrations and loose brushstrokes. His art and canvases often depicted the sunny beaches in the Mediterranean where the artist grew up. Love, family, and women were his favorite subjects. This upcoming contemporary art sale, offered by Robinhood Auctions, will feature Pino Daeni’s hand-signed canvas titled Windy Day. The work depicts a young woman, seen from behind, walking barefoot as the wind blows through the open field. This intriguing oil painting comes custom framed. Like Daeni’s other compositions, this also has some noticeable white spaces and a brilliant build-up of color. 

Also leading the listings are Robert Wyland’s marine-themed paintings, some of which are part of his acclaimed Whaling Walls series. Wyland, an American artist, painted 100 life-size murals of whales between 1981 and 2008 to raise awareness of marine life conservation. The available canvases feature whales, sea turtles, manatees, and sea life.
