The collection of more than 264 works of art includes a painting by Salvador Dali. The Spanish surrealist is best known for the bizarre images in his work. Among the diverse lots, Andy Warhol’s “St. George and the dragon” painting is an abstract from a larger painting by Paolo Uccello. The painting depicts a scene from the story of Saint George, a persecuted maiden. It is showcased as the highest valued lot. The auction further reveals a photograph by Nuria López Torres which conveys the mood of the subject. The artist mostly focuses her work on issues related to women, identity, and sexuality.
