John Singer Sargent was a portrait painter known for his work with Edwardian royals. His landscape paintings often explored the Impressionist style, unlike the more traditional approach used in his portraits. Many of these landscapes were influenced by Claude Monet, who painted around the same period. The upcoming auction, offered by Alex Cooper Auctioneers, presents Turkish Baths, an oil on canvas piece attributed to Sargent. The auction also features a charcoal drawing titled Boy with a Flute, also attributed to the artist. Other highlights of the auction include a 1986 Mercedes Benz 560SL two-door coupe roadster and an oil painting of a falcon by Russian landscape artist Leon Schulman Gaspard. 

Andy Warhol’s screenprints of Campbell’s soup cans helped define the Pop Art movement. Warhol faced both criticism and praise for the iconic series before becoming one of the highest-paid Pop artists of 20th-century art. This auction showcases a Campbell’s vegetable alphabet soup label signed by Warhol.
