Nye & Co. Offers a Blend of Jewelry & Fine Art Pieces

A sapphire and diamond necklace from Bayco is one of the top lots in the upcoming December Jewelry & Fine Art Auction, presented by Nye & Co. Bayco is an acclaimed jewelry company founded by Amir Hadjibay in 1981. Known for producing jewelry for royalty, Hadjibay’s clients have included the Maharajahs of India. Featured in this auction is a handmade necklace adorned with cushion-cut sapphires and round-cut diamonds. 

Also found in this sale is a piece by Keith Haring, a Pop artist known for his graffiti-style figures and symbols. He came to prominence through a series of chalk scribbles and drawings that appeared on New York City subways. The available piece is a fragment of those original chalk subway drawings and shows three figures next to an elongated hand. The auction also features a diamond and rose gold watch from Harry Winston. Known as “the King of Diamonds,” Harry Winston founded his company in New York in 1932.
