Luxury Handbags from the Estate of Mary Max

Doyle is offering the upcoming Luxury Handbags from the Estate of Mary Max auction in February. Mary Max was the wife of psychedelic artist and Pop Art icon Peter Max. Included in the auction are handbags that belonged to Mary Max, from Christian Dior to Louis Vuitton and Chanel. Highlighted is a Christian Dior 2018 Dior La Terre tote bag. This black bag shows several scenes: a woman in the stars, a frog sitting on a lily pad, numerous trees, a moon, and multicolored clouds. A Louis Vuitton bag is also showcased. This 4 ¾” x 7 ½” sequin bag features a night bird and comes with a dust cover and box. A pale blue Chanel Urban Spirit backpack and a Dior J’Adore blue patent leather shoulder bag are included as well.
