O’Gallerie will present fine art, jewelry, furniture, and more in the upcoming Furniture & Decorative Arts Auction. A bronze sculpture by David Manuel is among the key lots. A self-taught artist, Manuel is best known for his statue series of John Wayne. His sculptures tackle issues related to American expansionism. To honor his historical works, Manuel has been named the official sculptor of the United States Marshals bicentennial and the official sculptor of the Oregon Trail. The available bronze sculpture, titled Destiny, dates back to 1995 and shows a Native American warrior riding an Appaloosa.
Another lot of interest is a mixed media work titled Near The Russian River by the American artist Millard Sheets. Best known for his landscape paintings, Sheets’ works often features Surrealist imagery. Executed in 1967, this painting depicts a California seascape and rocks. Collectors will also find several lots of platinum, diamond, and gold jewelry in the catalog. View the full listings and register to bid on Invaluable.
