Edwardian Toi et Moi Finger Ring and Rare Bulgari Necklace Lead Rago’s Upcoming Sale

Toi et moi style rings became popular during the Art Nouveau and Edwardian periods (late 19th to early 20th centuries). The ring symbolized everlasting romantic love and represented the deep connection and commitment between two people. Often exchanged as keepsakes of affection, this type of ring is designed with two diamonds or gemstones fashioned side by side. The settings range from bezel and simple prong to elaborate designs. A toi et moi platinum ring, set with two old European-cut diamonds, is a key highlight of the upcoming Rago sale. Each diamond measures approximately 2.88 carats and 2.81 carats, respectively. The ring also features a platinum band studded with old European-cut diamond shoulders. Another striking piece is a rare Bulgari 18-karat yellow gold and cameo choker necklace. It is styled with a removable pendant and an agate cameo of a male profile on obverse. The reverse is engraved ‘Agate XIXth Century.’
