Dane Fine Art’s Two-Day Sale Presents Andy Warhol Screenprints, Mr. Brainwash Artworks

American-born visual artist Andy Warhol was famous for his Pop art. His early works were inspired by his mother, Julia Warhola, who was also an artist. With celebrities and everyday objects as his core subject matter, Warhol rendered vibrant and iconic silkscreen prints. Triple Fish, one such original screenprint on paper by the artist, is a key highlight of the upcoming Dane Fine Art sale. The rare, limited edition artwork was made by Warhol in 1983. The black and white screenprint depicts three fishes with their mouths open. 

With more than 1,000 lots available in the catalog, this event presents a wide range of multiples, posters, and prints by contemporary artists. One such lot is The World is Beautiful (Pink), a 2020 color screenprint on canvas by Mr. Brainwash (a pseudonym for Thierry Guetta). Numbered from the rare artist-proof edition of five, the offered work shows a playful monkey with a spray can in hand.
