Cartier Panthère and Love Jewelry, Handbags Available in Upcoming NY Elizabeth Sale

NY Elizabeth will soon present its Captivating Cartier Creations sale, scheduled for mid-April. The 400-lot auction features a wide range of bracelets, earrings, necklaces, pendants, and rings from renowned French luxury jewelry manufacturer Cartier. Handbags and purses from both Cartier and Chanel will be available as well. Leading the sale is a Panthère Spartacus yellow gold necklace with diamond, emerald, and onyx accents. The iconic Panthère line from Cartier originates from French jeweler Jeanne Toussaint, who worked at the Maison from 1913 through 1970. Though the panther motif was explored within Cartier several decades prior, it rose to prominence in the 1940s and quickly became a symbol of strength, independence, and wildness. The offered pendant necklace depicts the panther’s head with blocky, geometric angles; gold links dangle from the pendant’s end. 

Other signature Cartier designs are represented in this sale, including an open Love bangle bracelet. Many items in the Love collection feature tight fits, clean lines, and screws that must be removed with a screwdriver before taking them off. The available bangle bracelet is composed of 18-karat yellow gold. Bidders can consider numerous leather Cartier handbags, some featuring the Panthère motif and vintage hardware. Offered Chanel bags include a white leather and gold chain handbag and a tweed and salmon-colored leather shoulder bag.
