Betty Cooke Jewelry, Gold Coins, and Militaria in Alex Cooper Auctioneers’ Upcoming Event

With a career spanning over 70 years, Betty Cooke is an internationally acclaimed Modernist jeweler. Her pieces, found in many museums, reflect her Minimalist style. Several pieces of Betty Cooke jewelry will be available in Alex Cooper Auctioneers’ upcoming auction of fine jewelry, rare coins, and militaria. A sterling silver starburst brooch and mid-century ring designed by Cooke are among the leading items. A 5.01-carat oval diamond ring with GIA-certified SI2 clarity is another noteworthy lot. 

After remaining with private collectors for over 20 years, 32 CAC-verified gold coins will also be available in this auction. Among them is a 1907 U.S. coin designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens before he died of cancer. The sculptor was hired by President Theodore Roosevelt to beautify American coinage in the early 20^th century. An engraved Colt Dragoon revolver, several Glock & Ruger handguns, daggers, medals, and German World War II hats are among the offered militaria items.
