The rectangular top with a pair of hinged glazed doors opening to a mirrored back and glass shelf, over a fall front fitted with gilt bronze mounts in the form of a mask and floral medallion centered by a pair of winged lion terms, the interior with a fitted leather writing surface and three small drawers, above a pair of hinge doors with Boulle marquetry inlay, raised on a bracket base fitted with gilt bronze mounts. Dimensions: 61 in.h. x 32 in.w. x 13.5 in.d. Condition: Some brass inlay lacking in areas, some old restorations, glass not original, interior of top section altered, inset leather writing surface in original condition with wear and losses.

Russian imperial period porcelain covered ice cup, from the Order of Saint Vladimir service, by the Gardner Factory, Verbilki, 1783-1785, marked with factory marks in blue underglaze to base; based on an earlier model for the Berlin Service given to Catherine II of Russia by Frederick the Great in 1772, painted with the red and black sash of the order centering the star of the order, the handle molded and painted in imitation of a branch, the domed lid similarly decorated with the order’s red and black sash centering a gilt blossom, 4.25″ H (with lid) x 3.5″ W.
