George Woolliscrof Rhead For Doulton Lambeth Large Charger:

Extremely rare and beautiful Art Nouveau ceramic platter with a faience broad rim. The center is well painted with an allegorical depiction of Cupid holding a helmet within a foliate border. Circa 1880s.
George Woolliscroft Rhead was a member of the famous Rhead family of pottery designers. He decorated one of the best plaques and tiles in Lambeth studio. He was also a talented writer and teacher eventually becoming head of the Putney and Norwood art schools. Royal Doulton backstamp, artist’s initials on the bottom.

Antique 19th Ct. French gilt bronze and porcelain mantle clock, features a lyre form with black Roman numeral marked, white enamel dial, outer pink Arabic seconds ring, and double open-work hands. Designed with a crystal inset bezel and starburst outer ring, raised on an ornate footed base with foliate details, flanked by fruit filled cornucopia reliefs. Clock completed with a center figural mask, flanked by rams heads holding hanging rose garlands. Features a skeleton movement with pendulum, inscriptions from services dated (” Feb, 25, 1873) Sevres mark at underside of clock.
