Platinum ring, brightly polished, featuring centered prong set cushion mixed cut blue sapphire, weighing approx. 3.80 carats, accompanied by AGL report 1130350, dated 20 March 2023, indicating the sapphire is natural, of Ceylon origin, and with no evidence of heat treatment or any additional enhancement, surrounded by bead set 16 round brilliant cut diamonds, weighing a total of approx. 0.48 carat. Platinum tested. Measuring approx. US size 7, approx. 5/8″ across the widest point, approx. 2.9 dwt. Provenance: Property from the Manhattan estate of Indrani Yogasundram who lived in many different countries with her husband, Yogaraj, during his decades-long career as a Sri Lankan diplomat. In addition to the heirloom jewelry she possessed, Indrani acquired jewelry, art, and ornaments while stationed in China (1960-63), Sri Lanka (1963-65), and Iraq (1965-1967).

He was the son and student of artist Robert Jenkins Onderdonk, also a prominent Texas painter. At the turn of the 20th century, Onderdonk painted in the tradition of the Hudson Valley School in New York, later traveling to Texas for the balance of his career. His paintings are in prominent institutions and collections in the United States.
