This original oil on canvas portrait depicts an old man who intense gaze looks to the side. The painter used expressive brushstrokes in grey-green, white and black, and specs of orange. Areas of paint have been removed with a sharp tip to carve wrinkle lines and single strands of hair onto the thick surface. Signature and date on lower right: illegible 73? Housed in a wide wood frame with a gilded border. Artwork dimensions: 10.50″L x 8.50″H. Frame size: 20.25″L x 17.50″H x 1″W.
