Paul Gauguin (1848-1903) was a French Post-Impressionist artist known for his innovative and influential contributions to the world of art. Gauguin initially pursued a successful career as a stockbroker but ultimately devoted himself entirely to painting. He is renowned for his vibrant use of color, bold experimentation with form, and exploration of non-Western cultures, particularly his time spent in Tahiti. Gauguin’s artistic vision, marked by his search for spiritual and emotional expression, laid the groundwork for the Symbolist and Primitivist movements and continues to inspire artists to this day.

In May 1890 Van Gogh finally left the asylum at Saint-Remy and traveled north to Paris to see Theo for a few days before moving on to the small community of Auvers-sur-Oise, which would be his home for the remaining few months of his life. The sketch offered here appears to be a preliminary study of the same houses which appear in his painting Village Street in Auvers. For reference, a photo of that painting is included in this listing, but it is not included in the sale.

1978 RSO Ceramic Cookie Jar:
Very rare vintage 1978 ceramic cookie jar in the form of the RSO Records red bull logo mascot, measuring 15″L x 7″W x 8″H, featuring a gold colored RSO tag on the neck. In fine condition. These were produced as promotional gifts for the record executives in the 1978 holiday season and never made available for sale to the public. RSO (Robert Stigwood Organisation) managed the like of the Bee Gees, Eric Clapton with Cream, and Andy Gibb. The RSO record label released the legendary soundtracks to Grease and Saturday Night Fever.

Unused, full-size authentic Pro Line helmet that is a size Large (7.25″-7.75″) with manufacturer’s hang tags still attached. It is signed by 24 players (Including Joe Namath) of the 1969 champions team in black sharpies.
