In its sale of collector’s watches on Wednesday May 6 in Paris, Osenat is offering this “Cartier New York” model clock, circa 1910, estimated at €8,000/12,000. Its pink-enameled silver case resting on an agate base (48 x 74 x 49 mm) and enameled dial with diamond-studded hands evoke the creations of the Fabergé house. It is sold in its original shaped case, monogrammed “H.B.A.”, under a crown. With its quadrangular silhouette and robust appearance, it prefigures the mysterious Model A clock, created in 1912 by master clockmaker Maurice Couët. Its design was inspired by French milestones.
