French doctor and explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot certainly marked the world of polar exploration. A set of 88 plates and 55-period prints by the photographer Albert Senouque captures his 1908 expedition in images. Albert Senouque (1882-1969), set of 88 gelatin silver bromide negative glass plates contained in nine cardboard boxes (13 x 18 cm/5.1 x 7 in, 9 x 12 cm/3.5 x 4.7 in), and 55 period prints on silver paper of these negatives (7 x 10 cm/2.8 x 3.9 in or 12 x 18 cm/4.7 x 7 in).
