Wine, Ancient Art & Antiquities – Session One

The Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival (PSF) is a professional theatre company on the campus of DeSales University with a national reputation for excellence. The company produces Shakespeare and other classics, musical theatre, and children’s theatre each summer. Pook & Pook Inc. is offering its estate wine as a benefit for the PSF along with ancient art and antiquities in its Wine, Ancient Art & Antiquities auction.

Highlighted in the auction is the sought-after 12 bottles of the Chateau Lafite Rothschild Pauillac, 1982 vintage red wine. Handpicked and fermented in wooden vats; the fresh wine was then aged in new barriques for almost two years before bottling. The result ended in a vintage of almost Port-like richness and weight, providing a top wine. Another great wine collection featured in the auction is 12 bottles of Chateau Pichon Longueville de Lalande Pauillac. These fine red wines spend 18-22 months in oak barrels and produce a feminine, elegant taste.
