Vintage Chopard Diamond and Ruby Watch, Fancy Gemstone Bracelets Highlight Kodner Galleries’ Upcoming Sale

Headquartered in Geneva, Chopard is a Swiss company manufacturing and retailing luxury watches, accessories and jewelry. Established in 1860 by Louis-Ulysse Chopard in Sonvilier, it has been owned by the Scheufele family since 1963. One of its illustrious clients included Tsar Nicholas II of Russia. A vintage Chopard diamond and ruby lady’s watch is a key highlight of the upcoming auction, presented by Kodner Galleries. It features Montres Dame cat eye pavé diamond and rubies dial, and pink lizard strap designed with diamonds and 18-karat white gold buckle. Another striking lot is a multi-cut fancy diamond bracelet, set in 18-karat white and yellow gold. Also of interest is a bracelet fashioned with pear-shaped and marquise-cut pink tourmaline gemstones and round brilliant-cut diamonds.

A lithograph by Marc Chagall and another in the style of the artist will also be available. The Russian-French painter was influenced by various important artistic schools. His work often explored quirky motifs such as ghostly figures, a gigantic fiddler, and transparent wombs. Andrew Saftel’s mixed media on found board, titled Invitation, is also a noteworthy artwork on offer.
