Kamelot Auctions presents over 450 pieces of furniture and decorative arts in the upcoming Nation’s Finest Antique Garden & Architectural auction. A 1978 kinetic sculpture by Jerome Kirk, titled Four Red Rings, is highlighted. Especially influenced by Alexander Calder’s work, Kirk’s kinetic sculptures are finely balanced to move in pendular ways with changing air currents. The available piece has four red-colored circular discs and comes with a signed book about the artist.
The first day of this auction will also feature a set of three French cast stone planters by Willy Guhl. A pioneer of Swiss industrial design, Guhl was one of the leading representatives of the Neo-Functionalism movement. A nude figure fountain depicting a young woman holding a garland will also be offered. The fountain is raised on a plinth.
