The Mollie Brewster Broussard Collection

Doyle presents the Mollie Brewster Broussard jewelry collection in their upcoming sale. This single-owner collection from Broussard, a teacher and public speaking coach, includes pieces collected over the course of 51 years. Among the featured lots is a “Lioness” bangle bracelet by David Webb. The jewelry designer’s animal jewelry dates back to 1957, a year that began his obsession with anything that could fly, crawl, swim, or run. The gold, platinum, diamond, and ruby bracelet resembles a lioness gripping her own tail. It is covered in almost 200 small, round-cut diamonds. 

Coral jewelry is another highlight. A Tiffany & Co. cuff bracelet features cabochon emeralds resting on pieces of carved coral, all surrounded by diamonds. A Griffin clip-brooch by Cartier is another featured carved coral piece. This sale will offer necklaces from Van Cleef & Arpels, Bulgari, and Gucci.
