Doyle Auction is presenting items from the estate of Elesabeth Ingalls Gillet. Elesabeth Ingalls Gillet (1935-2018), known to her friends as “Eles” (pronounced “Liz”), was an important philanthropist whose work centered around cancer and animal charities in the Palm Beach, Birmingham, and New York areas. She organized charity balls and fundraising events for cancer after her sister succumbed to the disease. Items in this estate sale are all jewelry, primarily brooches, rings, and necklaces.
This collection of jewelry features a sapphire bud and diamond flower clip-brooch. The sapphire is surrounded by old European-cut and round diamonds. Also highlighted is a heart-shaped ‘Toi et Moi’ ring. This ring showcases two heart-shaped diamonds, the white one mirrored by a brownish, greenish-yellow one bisected by a tapered band of 18 baguette diamonds. Included in the auction is a 1940-1950 Cartier curb link necklace. This necklace is accented by 62 round and single-cut diamonds. To view all 28 pieces and to place a bid, visit Doyle Auction today.
