The 19th and 20th century lightings mark the first day of the auction. Messenger and Sons attributed bronze and brass pair of argand lamps, are one of the prized possessions of the auction with the highest estimated value of $3000. Amongst other treasures are a Victorian hobnail designed hanging lamp with brass collar and decorative arms with butterfly; and Manhattan perfection, a single arm student lamp showcasing motifs of mythical creatures and air intakes coming out of a griffin’s mouth.
