Rolex Oyster Perpetual 41 & Audemars Piguet Royal Oak “Jumbo” to Sell With Phillips

A Rolex collection would not be complete without the Oyster Perpetual. This line of watches combines the traits of dress watches and sports watches. In 2020, Rolex released the reference 124300 collection with an upgraded size and a new generation movement. The watch comes with seven unique bright Stella-inspired dials, including yellow and turquoise dials, as well as “coral red” dials. One such Rolex Oyster Perpetual watch is a key highlight of the upcoming New York Watch Auction: EIGHT sale, presented by Phillips. The timepiece features a turquoise bright blue dial, an all-brushed stainless-steel case complemented by a matching bracelet with an updated design. Double bars are used on the hour markers at three, six, and nine o’clock, giving a larger appearance.  

The catalog also highlights an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak “Jumbo” (ref. 15202ST) wristwatch. The Royal Oak reference 5402 was the first sports watch with an integrated bracelet in stainless steel and was launched in 1972. The Royal Oak ref. 15202ST is a modern example of the landmark “Jumbo” line. The case and bracelet of the available lot feature brushed finishes that give it a utilitarian look. Due to its modest width of 39mm, the Royal Oak Ref 15202ST is thin enough to wear comfortably, yet is large enough to read easily.
