Pure Gold Bars and Coin Jewelry to Sell in Western Trading Post’s August Auction

The upcoming gold auction from Western Trading Post will feature a broad selection of gold bars, collectibles, jewelry, and more. Leading the auction is a fine gold bar weighing 32.15 troy ounces, or one kilogram. It comes to auction with a Royal Canadian Mint certificate of assay indicating that the bar has 99.9% purity. The bar was produced by Johnson Matthey SLC, a British company known for its history in precious metals refining and manufacturing. Another notable gold bar in the sale is a ten-ounce pure gold example from Valcombi Suisse, a Switzerland-based precious metal refinery. It comes to auction in an original Valcombi case. 

Beyond gold bars, the auction presents a selection of 1978 Krugerrand coins from South Africa, including one coin set in a necklace for easy display. The necklace features a 14-karat gold rope setting, chain, and finishings. Another notable coin pendant in the auction is a half-ounce gold panda coin pendant from the People’s Republic of China. The coin was introduced in 1982, depicting a panda on the front. Bidders can also consider a 14-karat gold, diamond, and opal bangle bracelet with a central Tanzanite stone, as well as a Georgian mourning brooch from the Victorian era.
