The American sculptor developed a new way of working with glass, utilizing gravity to let molten glass organically find its shape. Asymmetry and irregularity are defining characteristics of his work. In the upcoming sale presented by Bonhams, one of Dale Chihuly’s glass sculptures will be featured. Three yellow, red, and orange pieces connect to form a single wall installation.
