Landscapes by Fidelia Bridges and Abstract Works of Eda Sterchi Come to Auction at Eldred’s

Painter Fidelia Bridges was known for her elaborate and detailed landscapes. She was a seminal woman artist who worked with both watercolor and oil paints. Bridges painted “as if the year were all springtime,” explained critics. Her paintings of birds and flowers in meadows and marshes created lyrical happiness.
