Kodner Galleries to Offer Kenny Scharf Canvas, Van Cleef & Arpels Diamond and Gold Watch

Kenny Scharf, a painter and installation artist, is known for his artworks inspired by pop culture and comic books. Born in Los Angeles, Scharf earned a BFA in painting from the School of Visual Arts in 1980. The versatile painter deploys a range of techniques and materials, including acrylic, spray paint, oils, and diamond dust, for his works. The upcoming Kodner Galleries auction presents an artwork by Kenny Scharf. It is a 2020 spray paint on canvas. This piece, titled Sik, has been acquired from Opera Gallery, Art Miami 2023. It depicts an emotive and sad cartoon-like blob rendered in the hues of green, white, and yellow.  

Another highlight is a diamond and 18-karat white gold watch from Van Cleef & Arpels. It has a blue enamel dial accentuated with diamonds. Additional features include a diamond bezel and a white alligator bracelet. According to the auction house, the offered lot is in very good condition. Elegant diamond and platinum jewelry will also be available. A GIA diamond and 18-karat gold wedding set is noteworthy. The set includes an engagement ring with a 3.19-carat round brilliant-cut diamond in the center and a wedding band. The latter is set with twenty-four round brilliant cut diamonds.
